Soon to leave her very British boarding school, Dọlápọ̀is is pressured to conceal her natural hair, and to change her name in order to get a job in the City. Dọlápọ̀ buys a wig, but the hair leaves her questioning and she is forced to reconsider her own assumptions about identity.
Director's Biography:Ethosheia Hylton is a London born actor, writer and director. In 2018 Ethosheia was presented the inaugural European Academy Gold Fellowship for Women. Driven by stories from untold voices and about community and culture, Ethosheia’s work BRIXTON ROCK (2018), an adaptation of award winning author Alex Wheatle's book of the same name, is being turned into a feature film.
