"For me it was a matter of the heart to make a film about the subject of depression. I know what I'm talking about because I've been through this illness myself," said Eva Habermann, the leading actress and producer of this dramedy. She plays the alcoholic and tablet-addicted lawyer Mona, whose suffering was triggered by a serious accident. Her husband Theo, on the other hand, an unsuccessful novelist, blossoms more and more when the beautiful Alina, daughter of a friend of Mona's, moves into the chic suburban villa for a few days. Theo's pubescent daughter Hanna is the only one who realises that the already fragile family constellation is in danger of collapsing.

Director's Biography: 

Krishna Ashu Bhati was born in Berlin in 1980. He began writing and directing at the age of 24. His German and Indian roots influence his artistic activity. He became known through the 2016 film BITTERSÜSS.
