At the age of six, Anne witnesses her parents being killed. Twenty years later, she has still not been able to come to terms with this traumatic experience. She takes refuge in fable worlds as a children's book author. The perpetrator, who was convicted at the time, now has a doctorate and is equally well-known for his own books, seeks a retrial of the murder case from prison to prove his innocence. Anne is forced to testify against the alleged perpetrator. She increasingly loses control and falls under the influence of the charismatic man. Director's Biography:Studied at the DFFB in Berlin. He has won numerous awards as a screenwriter and director for film and television. He is particularly interested in historical events with reference to the present.
