A young sensitive and impulsive Syrian flees the civil war to Lebanon. To be able to travel to Europe and live with the love of his life, he gets his back tattooed by an arrogant artist. When his own body is transformed into a prestigious work of art, however, he realises that his decision means anything but freedom. The Western world's wide-ranging ignorance of the international refugee problem is confronted with the empty artificiality of an avant-garde art scene. The satire by Tunisian Kaouther Ben Hania draws its power stylistically from artistically sophisticated image compositions.
