Sofia fetches her mother Marga, who suffers from dementia, from a psychiatric unit. Marga talks about events from the distant past which makes Sofia realize that everything she has told her before could not have been further from the truth. They undertake a trip to Riga, Marga’s old home, to find out more.

Hans Steinbichler
Hans Steinbichler studied at the Munich Academy of Film and Television. His feature film debut Hierankl won the Förderpreis Deutscher Film and the Adolf-Grimme-Award which he won for his film Die zweite Frau as well. Since 2013 professor at the Film School Cologne.
