In the summer holidays, Wendy works as a Park Ranger. Against her friends' advice, she takes care of the exchanging info sheets on a challenging hike trail. “It’s just a walk in the woods, how hard can it be?”, Wendy gets lost and finds a dead body. Via radio, she receives instructions to wait until the next morning. Mobile telephone and radio fail. During the next hours Wendy has to confront the outer and inner darkness. Roxanne Benjamin, together with camera woman Hanna Getz, captures the wild beauty and frightening loneliness of the woods of Idyllwild, California perfectly. At heart, her survival-thriller is a female-empowerment-story.
