The VIDEONALE – festival for contemporary video art. Established in the autumn of 1984, the VIDEONALE was the first platform for video art in Germany and presents exhibitions for international video and animated art in the Kunstmuseum Bonn every two years. The exhibition is embedded in a program of retrospectives, lectures, performances and special presentations like the VIDEONALE. parcours. Until today, the VIDEONALE is true to its founding ideas: showing recent tendencies of timebased arts and focusing on young, emerging approaches to international video art. In Braunschweig, the VIDEONALE presents a cross section of its festival history.
