Shakespeare’s Romeo and Julia related anew as a city odyssey: both protagonists are street musicians in Berlin, fall in love with each other, begin to argue all the time, but then they become involved in a murder case and have to flee through the city jungle - but, the feelings they had for each other return!

Helmut Berger studied direction and acting in Graz. Since 1972 director and actor at the theatre, since 1989 mainly actor in film and tv. Winner of the Zürcher Film award for DU MICH AUCH and of the Max-Ophüls-Prize for NIE IM LEBEN.
