15 JAHRE (15 Years) continues the story of the drama VIER MINUTEN (Four Minutes), which won the HEINRICH in 2006. Jenny, a piano prodigy and convicted murderer, lives in a Christian housing group after being released from prison and works as a cleaner in a music conservatory. Here she meets Mangold, a musical comrade-in-arms from her past. Mangold persuades her to take part in a casting show with his Syrian lodger, a singer and pianist. "Your past won't just go away, Jenny. You have to do things to keep the darkness at bay." But Jenny's anger and readiness for conflict often stand in the way of this benevolent advice from her counsellor.
